Inspired by China Beach/Sooke BC

There was a short hike from the parking lot to the beach.  It was so very exciting to see the turquoise water through the trees from the edge of the trail.  When we arrived the tide was out that mid august afternoon, exposing the sand.  Taking your shoes off and feeling the wet cool sandy water between your toes, gives you a sense of being grounded.

There was a cool breeze, so a hoody was required.  You just had to close your eyes and feel the wind and listen to the West Coast banter.
